"This hotel is an incredible value with a fantastic downtown location. The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The pool was a huge hit with our family, especially because it had tubes and toys for the kids to enjoy. What truly makes this hotel deserving of five stars, though, is the people who work there. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in countless hotels over the years, so I know great hospitality when I experience it. Our family’s stay this weekend was made extraordinary because of the incredible team at The American Hotel in Downtown Atlanta. From the valet staff to the front desk during check-in, Ray, and every employee we met along the way, we were treated with genuine kindness, warmth, and care. Everyone was personable, welcoming, and authentic—something that is becoming increasingly rare. The real testament to how exceptional the staff is? My husband, who can usually find something to complain about wherever we stay, couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful everyone was. That alone says it all! Thank you to the entire team for making our family weekend so memorable. We will absolutely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta!"

"Wendy/Angie/Eric; Thank you tremendously for our Exceptional Stay — Eric at the front desk, Wendy and Angie from the restaurant were Amazing! Our stay in Atlanta was exceptional from beginning to end. Everything exceeded our expectations, but what really made the experience stand out was the Valet finding us a spot, Eric supporting us with exceptional Service and finally Wendy and Angie this morning. They went above and beyond our daughters picky food choices 🤭 They were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely committed to making sure we had a great stay. It’s one thing to have a beautiful, comfortable place to stay, but it’s the people and the level of hospitality that turn a good experience into a memorable one. Wendy and Angie absolutely did that for us. Everything was clean, comfortable, well cared for, and exactly what we hoped for. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived and truly appreciated the attention to detail throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Atlanta and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional experience. "After Marriott has dropped the ball too many times, I was looking for an alternative. I found the American. I've been very happy with that choice. Service has been excellent. The staff seems obsessed with making sure you have everything you need for a good stay. Kudos to the staff!! I love the location. Rooms were what I expect of a Hilton property: clean with enough extra to exceed my needs. They had good tv selection, free Internet ( I'm a Hilton member) that worked over Dragon Con, plenty of space in room. I plan on coming back."
